About Becoming A Strong Spirit Woman

Having a strong spirit  signifies many things, most importantly it is a title that we can reach for, and do our best to honor by how we live our lives.

I didn't feel like a strong spirit growing up.  In retrospect, it was my very struggles and vulnerabilities that helped me cull out the true strength that lied buried, existing only as pure potential.

I now better understand  how our challenges provide the fires for which our spirits are forged, just as the blacksmith uses fire to craft his ideal sword ~ ever so patiently ~ melting, then hardening, then melting again until he gets it right.

My own challenges became the impetus for my near life-long pursuit to achieve better physical health, and free myself from old emotional wounds that were negatively impacting my life.

I also was curious as to what made people tick.  Why were some people seemingly more motivated and self-confident, while others seemed to endlessly struggle, like myself?

I tried various diets and cleanses throughout my life, with equally varied success.

I went to counseling, devoured 'New Age self-help' books, sought out alternative therapists, and began to accumulate a litany of certifications.

No matter what I tried, for each step forward, I felt like I took at least two steps backward.

Or so that was my perception.

In retrospect, perhaps it was ALL part of my ongoing 'training' ~ helping me become more compassionate and perceptive towards the struggles and challenges so many of us continually face.

About My Journey to becoming certified as a Clinical Hypnotherapist, and a Holistic CORE Counselor & Educator

I continued to study a variety of holistic and esoteric practices ~ including Reiki, Magnified Healing, Re-An (or Re-At-onement Now) and channeling ~ primarily as I was attempting to heal myself, and define my purpose.

I first  began training to become a licensed acupuncturist at the now defunct International Institute of Chinese Medicine in  Santa Fe, NM in 1998, leaving, then finishing at their Albuquerque campus in 2002.

I relocated a few times, maintaining national certification and state licensure,  practicing  part time to the best of my abilities, until ending up back in the Midwest at which point I spent the bulk of my time assisting my mother through a major back surgery.  I decided to try to build an online presence, and have the means to generate an income working from home ~ something I always wanted to do, but was now seeming nearly essential.

Before moving to Arizona in 2010, I completed Dr. Hart's Holistic C.O.R.E. Counseling certification course in 2009.  I was immediately enthralled.  Finally, a program that provided me with the MAP I needed to break free, and bring resolution to those parts of me that were frozen in time, still holding onto the past wounds and disappointments.

I completed the three hundred hour clinical hypnotherapist certification program in 2011 with Linda Bennett at Southwest Institute of Healing Arts (SWIHA).

I now weave together the use of guided therapeutic imagery used with hypnotherapy, my unique Energy Re-Harmonizing protocol, and the powerfully effective tools from the Holistic CORE Counseling System, including a CORE Transformational Alignment.

I have also created my own MAP ~ or ten step plan to get you from Point A, where you are, to Point B, where you most desire to be ~ as outlined in The Strong Spirit Self-Empowerment Plan, Your MAP to Consciously & Effectively Create YOUR Most Illuminated Life

As I mentioned on the Welcome page, I am a natural harmonizer.  I help people weed out the non-essential and non-beneficial thoughts  and distorted energies that prevent one from recognizing their own true treasures buried within.

I am also a natural counselor.  I listen to people, holding that sacred space for which others can unburden their hearts ~ often the most important service we can offer, and what is most healing.

As such, I no longer maintain active status as a state licensed or nationally certified acupuncturist.

My personal hobbies or past times involve being in Nature, walking/hiking, writing, reading, training with my husband, Coach Don, using the X3 elastic band training system, and responding spontaneously to life situations as called upon by Divine Providence.

Ideally, I will be soon taking my 'training' to the next level ~ learning directly from Nature on our piece (or peace) of land, and getting my hands in the dirt.  I also look forward to being more creative in general, especially with using objects found in Nature.

Believe it or not, I really do enjoy creating harmonious living spaces ~ including cleaning, organizing, and de-cluttering, which I revere as divinely feminine, sacred service.  Part of that Condor/ Vulture medicine ~ rolling my sleeves up, digging in, clearing out the distorted energies, and re-harmonizing ~ again, and again.

My Holistic Health Coaching services help clients transcend the obstacles that prevent them from consciously creating their most ideal ~ or most illuminated life.

I am very grateful for learning Dr. Hart's Holistic CORE Counselor /Educator program as up until taking his course in 2009, none of the programs I studied, or therapies I tried had helped me become more in control of not only my emotions, but every aspect of my life.

My Pledge to you:  I will always do my upmost best to be the most illuminated version of myself I am able to be.

My Mission:  To help others do the same.
